Dear Friends,Last week Fairbanks voters went to the polls and with the final results tallied, I came out the winner.
The campaign, however, is not over.
On Tuesday, November 3rd there will be a runoff election.
This election is about Fairbanks, not partisan politics. It’s about electing a mayor who has the experience and vision to build on the progress we have made, not turn back the clock. It’s about electing a mayor you can trust to represent our town and tackle the big issues we all agree on, such as building a thriving economy that competes in a growing state.
The Fairbanks I see ahead of us is a strong, healthy community where families set down roots and businesses thrive. It's a community where energy is affordable, jobs are plentiful, and the Alaskan quality of life we cherish is not compromised.
This race is about our town. It's about building a secure future for every resident, from Salcha to Fairbanks and from Ester to North Pole.
On Tuesday, November 3rd your vote will ensure that the progress our town has made isn't lost.
